Description

This Bacon Strawberry Shortcake Burger blends crispy bacon, sweet balsamic strawberries, and a soft mascarpone cream all stacked on a buttery shortcake biscuit. It’s the perfect summer dinner idea and a fun twist on a classic homemade burger.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

6 strips thick-cut bacon

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

4 shortcake biscuits

1/2 cup heavy whipped cream

2 tbsp mascarpone cheese

1 tbsp balsamic reduction

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat.

2. Season ground beef with salt and pepper, form into 4 patties.

3. Cook bacon strips until crispy, set aside on paper towels.

4. Grill burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side until medium-rare (135°F).

5. Slice fresh strawberries and lightly toss with balsamic reduction.

6. Split shortcake biscuits and lightly toast them.

7. Whip cream with mascarpone until soft peaks form.

8. Assemble burger: bottom biscuit, patty, bacon, strawberries, whipped cream mixture.

9. Top with second biscuit half and garnish with mint.

10. Let rest 2-3 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

• Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best sweet balance.

• Chill the mascarpone cream slightly before assembling for better texture.

• Want a vegetarian twist? Swap the patty for a grilled portobello cap.
