Description
These Brown Sugar Pineapple Chicken Wings are oven-baked, sticky, and coated in a sweet, tangy pineapple glaze. An easy weeknight or game day recipe everyone loves.
Ingredients
900 g chicken wings, split
120 ml pineapple juice
60 ml soy sauce
55 g brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
60 ml pineapple chunks
8 g cornstarch
30 ml water
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet.
2. Mix marinade: pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger.
3. Toss wings in marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Arrange wings on baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
5. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
6. Make slurry: mix cornstarch and water.
7. Simmer remaining marinade with pineapple chunks.
8. Add slurry to thicken sauce.
9. Toss baked wings in hot pineapple sauce and serve.
Notes
You can use canned pineapple juice and chunks. Marinate longer for more flavor. Serve with coconut rice or slaw.
