Description
A luxury seafood recipe stuffed in a crusty bread bowl with shrimp, crab, and scallops. Creamy, cheesy, and baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
1 large crusty bread bowl (sourdough or artisan round)
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup crab meat
1/2 cup scallops
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 shallot, finely chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Cut the top off the bread bowl and hollow out the center. Toast for 8–10 minutes.
3. Melt butter in a skillet and sauté garlic and shallots.
4. Add shrimp and scallops; cook until opaque. Stir in crab meat.
5. Lower heat, pour in cream. Add cream cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
6. Stir in half the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
7. Fill the toasted bread bowl. Top with remaining cheese.
8. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Use a thick sourdough for best structure.
To make ahead, prepare the filling and refrigerate.
Do not microwave the bread when reheating; re-bake to keep it crisp.
