Ingredients
½ cup packed light brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
⅔ cup sugar
½ cup salted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ cup milk
1 ¼ cups peeled and chopped apples (Fuji or Granny Smith)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, set aside.
3. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
4. Blend in flour, baking powder, and milk until combined.
5. Spread half the batter in pan, add apples and cinnamon sugar.
6. Top with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar.
7. Bake 50–60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool completely before removing from pan and slicing.
Notes
Best apples: Granny Smith for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness.
Pat apples dry to avoid gummy texture.
