Description
Easy Filet Mignon Shrimp Lobster is a luxury surf and turf dinner idea you can make at home creamy, rich, and perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
4 filet mignon steaks (6–8 oz each)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter or oil for cooking
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz lobster meat, chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup white wine (optional)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Season filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.
2. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add shrimp and lobster; cook until shrimp turn pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove seafood and set aside.
3. Pour white wine into skillet to deglaze, scraping up browned bits. Add heavy cream, simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened. Return seafood to sauce and warm through.
4. Place filet mignon on plates. Spoon seafood cream sauce over top. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes or asparagus.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh shrimp and lobster, but high-quality frozen works if thawed completely.
Pair with a crisp white wine like Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc for a balanced meal.
This dish works beautifully for holidays, anniversaries, or upscale dinner parties.
