Description
Chewy marshmallow rice krispie base layered with homemade caramel and topped with glossy chocolate. An indulgent no bake dessert perfect for family-friendly gatherings, busy moms, and chocolate lovers alike.
Ingredients
Rice Krispie Layer:
300 g mini marshmallows
50 g unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
120 g rice krispies
Caramel Layer:
100 g unsalted butter
1 tin condensed milk (397 g)
120 g granulated sugar
50 g golden syrup
½ teaspoon salt
Chocolate Layer:
200 g chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Melt marshmallows, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in rice krispies and press into a lined tin.
2. Cook butter, condensed milk, sugar, syrup, and salt on medium heat until light amber. Spread caramel over the krispie base and chill 20 minutes.
3. Melt chocolate with oil until glossy. Pour over caramel layer and smooth out.
4. Chill an hour in the fridge. Bring to room temp before cutting.
5. Cut into neat squares and serve.
Notes
For a lighter version: use reduced-sugar marshmallows or milk chocolate.
For vegan: dairy-free marshmallows and coconut milk caramel.
For gluten-free: certified GF cereal.
