Description
This Four-Cheese Garlic Bacon Lasagna is the ultimate comfort food, layered with seasoned beef, four cheeses, and crispy bacon. It’s hearty, rich, and built to satisfy every bite.
Ingredients
9 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
½ lb bacon, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1½ cups shredded provolone cheese
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
2 cups marinara sauce
¼ cup chopped fresh basil (plus more for garnish)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Boil lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
3. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, cook ground beef with garlic until browned. Stir in 1 cup marinara and simmer.
4. In a bowl, stir together ricotta, egg, ½ cup Parmesan, and chopped basil. Season lightly.
5. Spread ½ cup marinara on the baking dish bottom. Add 3 noodles, half the ricotta mix, a third of meat and bacon, and mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan.
6. Repeat layers. Top with noodles, remaining sauce, meat, cheese, and bacon.
7. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
8. Let rest 10–15 minutes. Garnish with more basil and serve.
Notes
Make-ahead friendly: Assemble the lasagna a day early and refrigerate before baking.
Use pre-cooked bacon to save time.
Swap ground beef for sausage if you prefer a spicy kick.
