Description

This garlic butter steak and broccoli penne is your answer to an easy, indulgent weeknight dinner. Juicy steak, tender broccoli, and pasta are coated in a creamy garlic butter sauce all done in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta

1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice), cut into bite-sized pieces

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

4 tbsp butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups broccoli florets

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or chopped parsley for garnish

Optional:

Garlic Parmesan Cream

Lemon Butter White Wine Sauce

Spicy Cajun Cream

Instructions

1. Boil penne in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.

2. Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat oil in skillet. Sear steak until browned (3–5 minutes). Set aside.

3. In same skillet, cook broccoli 3–4 minutes until bright and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.

4. Lower heat. Melt butter, add minced garlic. Sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

5. Return steak and broccoli to skillet. Add pasta. Toss with garlic butter and Parmesan.

6. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed. Serve hot with garnish.

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of butter and cream.

Reserve pasta water before draining for better sauce texture.

Make it spicy with red pepper flakes or Cajun seasoning.

Bring steak to room temp before searing.

Add cold cream off heat to avoid splitting.

Rest cooked steak 5 minutes before slicing.

Finish pasta 1 minute early → let it absorb sauce off heat.
