Description
Honey Garlic Steak and Shrimp over Yellow Rice is a high-protein, flavor-packed meal. Juicy shrimp, tender steak, and golden turmeric rice come together in a sweet-savory honey garlic sauce that works for weeknights or romantic dinner recipes at home.
Ingredients
For the Steak & Shrimp:
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed (best steak cuts for meal prep)
2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos for GF)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper
For the Vegetables:
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
For the Yellow Rice:
1 cup long-grain white rice
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp cumin
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Toast rice with turmeric, cumin, olive oil. Add broth. Simmer until fluffy.
2. Sauté onion and bell pepper in olive oil until softened. Remove.
3. Season steak with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear until browned, 2–3 minutes per side. Remove.
4. Cook shrimp in same skillet until pink, 2–3 minutes per side.
5. Add garlic, honey, and soy sauce. Toss shrimp until coated and sticky.
6. Return steak and veggies to skillet. Toss everything in sauce.
7. Serve over yellow rice, topped with steak, shrimp, and veggies.
Notes
