This Meatloaf and Cheddar Shells Casserole Recipe is pure comfort. A one-pan wonder layered with hearty meatloaf and creamy cheddar shells perfect for easy dinner recipes for families or quick and cheap meals on busy nights.
Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 can (10.75 oz) Condensed Tomato Soup
1 cup Milk
8 oz Medium Pasta Shells, cooked and drained
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Press the meat mixture evenly into the bottom of the baking dish to form a layer.
4. In another bowl, stir together the cooked pasta shells, cheddar cheese, condensed tomato soup, and milk until creamy.
5. Spoon the cheddar shell mixture gently over the meatloaf base and spread evenly.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
7. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
8. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Make-ahead friendly: Assemble in the morning, bake at night.
