Description

This Pizzagna Italian Fusion Bake Recipe blends layers of lasagna noodles with pizza toppings for the ultimate comfort meal—cheesy, hearty, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

Scale

9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

1 lb Italian sausage or ground beef

2 cups pizza sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded provolone cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 green bell pepper, diced

½ red onion, thinly sliced

½ cup sliced black olives (optional)

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a skillet, cook the sausage or ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess fat and stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with one-third of the ricotta, meat sauce, mozzarella, provolone, Parmesan, pepperoni, peppers, onions, and olives.

4. Repeat the layers two more times, ending with noodles, meat sauce, remaining cheeses, and toppings.

5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley.

Notes

Swap ricotta with cottage cheese or mascarpone for a twist.

Use spicy Italian sausage or red pepper flakes for extra heat.

Freeze unbaked for future meals—just add 10–15 minutes to bake time.
