Ingredients
Rice Base:
400 g long-grain rice
720 ml chicken broth
60 ml soy sauce
15 ml toasted sesame oil
1.25 ml garlic powder
Shrimp Marinade:
450 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
60 ml teriyaki sauce
15 ml honey
2.5 ml freshly grated ginger
Fruit Component:
425 g pineapple chunks, drained
Instructions
1. Bring broth to a boil. Stir in rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Cover and simmer until tender.
2. Mix teriyaki sauce, honey, and ginger. Coat shrimp. Chill for 15 minutes.
3. Heat a grill pan. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes each side until opaque and lightly charred.
4. Spoon rice onto a plate. Add shrimp. Top with pineapple chunks.
5. Finish with sesame seeds or ginger. Serve immediately.
Notes
Keep shrimp, rice, and pineapple separate if meal prepping it saves the texture.
Don’t overcook shrimp; look for the “C” shape, not “O.”
